French rock and pop duet consisting of Jean-Philippe Nataf and Jean-Christophe Urbain from Lille, active from 1982 to 1999, reformed in 2013. They signed to Virgin Records and released the first album "Cent Metres au Paradis " in 1989. In 1992 they produced their second album "Fous a Lier" which became their first major success. They released the third album "Post Partum" in 1995, "Colore" was one of the most aired singles of 1996. They released the self-titled album in 1999 and split up in 2000. JP Nataf continued a solo career.

Split in 2003 but they released the album "Instant Pleasures" on Infectious in 2017.

German indie pop band from Darmstadt. They joined the compilation "Mit Sonnenschirmen Fingen Wir Den Blütenzauber" on Frischluft! Tontrager label in 1989. Then they released 7's "Candyman" in 1991 and over 20 years passed by, the compilation album "The Sheets" in 2013, both on on Kleinostheim's German label Blue Records.

Formed in 1993 in London, they were drew comparisons to The Smiths because of their Morrissey-esque lead singer, Martin Rossiter. Their debut single "For The Dead" and the second single "Be My Light Be My Guide" was released on Costermonger in 1994. They signed to Polydor Records. Their fourth single "Haunted By You" became the Top 40 hit and their debut LP "Olympian" became the top 10 hit. During the 90's they released two albums."Drawn to the Deep End (1997)" and "Revelations (1999)" on major label Polydor Records. The album "Libertine" was released in 2001 on Gene's own label Contra Records.

(vocals), Ewan Butler (guitar), John Baulcombe (Keyboards), Jos Murphy (bass guitar), and Mark McVitie (drums). The band's debut single "Skin Storm" was released on Village Records in 1988. They signed to The Smiths producer Stephen Street's Foundation label and released the album "Shouting Quietly" in 1989. Morrissey recorded a cover version of "Skin Storm" including the B-side of his single "Pregnant for the Last Time" in 1991. Midnight Music released the compilation "Bradford" in 1988 and A Turntable Friend Records released the promo sampler compilation "Thirty Years of Shouting Quietly" in 2017.

English rock band formed in London in 1990. The self-titled debut album was released on A&M Records in 1993, produced by The Lighting Seeds' Ian Broudie. During the 90's they released two albums "Homegrown (1994)" and "Free Peace Sweet (1996)". They appeared many festivals such as Glastonbury.
Tjinder Singh formed the band in 1991 along with his brother Avtar, and Chambers and Ayres, while working as a barman at Leicester's Magazine pub. They signed to Wiiija Records and released the debut album "Hold On It Hurts" in 1994. Chambers left the band in 1994, replaced by Nick Simms, the band re-emerged in 1995 with the "6 A.M. Jullandar Shere" single and released the second album "Woman's Gotta Have It" in 1995 and the third album "When I Was Born for the 7th Time" in 1997, featured the cover song of "Norwegian Wood" of The Beatles, recorded in the Punjabi language. Norman Cook (a.k.a. Fatboy Slim) loved "Brimful of Asha" track and remixed this song which became hugely popular in 1997. The song was a tribute to the Indian singer Asha Bhosle, and Tjinder's musical influences such as Trojan Records. In 2000 Ayres and Singh released a disco inspired album "Disco and the Halfway" as their side-project Clinton. In 2002 they released the fourth album "Handcream for a Generation" which featured Noel Gallagher (Oasis) on guitar. In 2006 they released the single "Wop the Groove" featuring guest vocals from Happy Mondays backing singer Rowetta.
They founded Ample Play label and released three albums.
