American indie pop band that formed in 1999, led by Fred Thomas, former member of His Name Is Alive. Polyvinyl Records released two albums "All Your Summer Songs" in 2003 and "Every Night" in 2004. The group are known for soundscapes which hear back to Detroit soul.

British rock band, debuting in 1994 with the album "Everyone's Got One" on Rhythm King, led by Sonya Madan, ex-kickboxer and born in India before moving to England. They were influenced by Morrissey who himself was a fan of the group. They released five albums and Sonya & Glenn formed Calm of Zero in 2009.

Formed in Liverpool in 1980.They releaseed the self-titled debut album "The Icicle Works" in 1984. The band's second album "The Small Price of a Bicycle" came out in 1985. Their third album "If You Want to Defeat Your Enemy Sing His Song" was produced by Ian Broudie. The band's fourth studio album "Blind" was produced by band's frontman Ian McNabb. Drummer Chris Sharrock departed to The La's. Sharrock later joined The Lightning Seeds, World Party, Del Amitri, Eurythmics, Oasis and Beady Eye. He was the drummer for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in 2018. McNabb continued to perform under the name The Icicle Works for a while and released the final album "Permanent Damage (1990)" on Epic Sony. They broke up after this album. McNabb's solo career began in 1991 with the release of the single "Great Dreams of Heaven".

They signed to Indolent Records and released three albums "Smart (1996)", "The It Girl (1996)" and "Pleased Meet You (produced by Stephen Street / 1997)". They covered the song of Blondie's "Atomic" which was featured in the soundtrack of the pop cultural hit movie "Trainspotting". The band split up in 1998 but reunited in 2017.

La-Di-Da Records released the compilation "All Hail The Daffodil" in 1991. Savage (vocals) joined Saint Etienne on their cover version of The Field Mice's "Let's Kiss and Make Up (1991)".

British indie rock band, formed in 1986 in Birmingham England, consists of Stephen Duffy, his brother Nick Duffy and Michael Weston in 1986. The band's name was taken from a line in the Nick Drake song "River Man". They released the self-titled album on Swordfish Records in 1987. Then they move to major label Fontana Records and then released two albums "Paradise Circus" in 1989 and "& Love for All" in 1990. Then they signed to Creation Records and released "Astronauts" in 1991. Stephen was a founding member of Duran Duran and created the band Tin Tin during the 80's. Also he formed Me Me Me with Alex James (Blur) and released the solo album on Indolent Records during the 90's. Duffy reformed The Lilac Time with brother Nick and Michael Giri in the late-90's.
