Postcard Records

Launched in Scotland in 1980 and closed the following year, Postcard Records came into being on the back of Britain's 1970's punk explosion and delivered two successful Scottish bands. Founder Alan Horne signed both Orange Juice and Aztec Camera to Postcard, but the departure of both acts to major labels led to the company's demise in 1981, after releasing just a dozen singles and one album. In 1992, Horne reactivated the label and released an Orange Juice compilation album.
