Even As We Speak - Forgiving

"Forgiving" is the first single from Even As We Speak's brand new album "Adelphi" coming out this june on Shelflife Records (USA) and Discos De Kirlian (Spain). With a sleeve cover and a fantastic song reminding the Sarah Records' years !

"Forgiving"

"Whatever I’ve done my darling one, you know that I am all for you
Whenever I start to drag you down, I know that you won’t cut me loose
It don’t make no sense, that hearts should have to break like this

Is it a tune that we forget, a shadow underneath the moon
Do you feel a vague regret, on summer mornings bright and new
It should be obvious, love shouldn’t end in bitterness

How long have we been wait, for things to become clear,
Are we simply waiting out the losing that we fear
When we should just be breathing,
the in and out of living
And endlessly forgiving.

Into the blue my darling one, you know the future is untold
Why do we always have to fight, knowing life will end too soon
It makes no sense to me, that love requires therapy

Why do we always have to give each other storms and rainy days
When we could spend our time in summer breezes, lying in the shade
It don’t make no sense, that hearts should have to break like this.

How long have we been wait, for things to become clear,
re we simply waiting out the losing that we fear
When we should just be breathing,
the in and out of living
And endlessly forgiving."
