The Dream Academy - Love Parade

British band consisting of Nick Laird-Clowes, Kate St John (ex-The Teardrop Explodes) and Gilbert Gabriel. The band is known for the 1985 hit single "Life in a Northern Town" and the 1985 cover of The Smiths' song "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want". They signed to Warner Bros. Records and released the self-titled debut album in 1985. Then Reprise Records released their two albums "Remembrance Days (1987)" and "A Different Kind of  Weather (1990)". St John has two solo albums in the mid-90's.
