Blur - There's no other Way, Popscene, Boys and Girls & Song2

Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon from Essex met Alex James when they began studying at college in London in 1988. Albarn was in a group named Circus, who were joined by drummer Dave Rowntre. They formed the band  named themselves Seymour in 1988. They signed to Food Records, changed the band-name "Blur". In 1990 they released the singles "She's So High", "There's no Other Way" produced by Stephen Street, and "Bang". They released the debut album "Leisure" in 1991 and then the single "Popscene", was a turning point for the band musically. They released the second album "Modern Life Is Rubbish" in 1992, but the single "For Tomorrow" didn't become a hit. The success of "Parklife (1994)", the album's first single "Girls & Boys", peaked at number 5 on the UK Singles Chart. They began working on their fourth album "The Great Escape" in 1995. Blur and Oasis released their new singles on the same day (Blur / Country House from the allbum "The Great Escape (1995)", Oasis / Roll with It), and became an event the NME called "The British Heavyweight Championship". Their song "Song 2", second single from the fifth album "Blur (1997)" became a CM song. Elastica frontwoman Justine Frischmann was Albarn's partner of eight years. After "Coffee & TV" album, the first single to feature Graham Coxon on lead vocals.  Coxon recorded the solo albums and Damon Albarn dedicated his time to Gorillaz. Coxon left the group. They headlined the Glastonbury Festival on 28 June, where they played for the first time since their headline slot in 1998. In 2015 they released their first studio album in twelve years, "The Magic Whip" on Parlophone in 2005.
