Dans la scène indie pop espagnole, Family est une étoile filante. C'est à Donostia (San Sebastián), au Pays Basque, que le duo composé d'Iñaki Gametxogoikoetxea et Javier Aramburu s'est formé au début des années 90 sur les cendres de La Insidia et d'El Joven Lagarto. En 1992, Family sort son premier disque en contribuant à un split flexi avec Fangoria édité par Club Fan Fatal. L'unique album du groupe, "Un soplo en el corazón", considéré comme l'un des meilleurs disques de l'histoire de la pop en Espagne, est publié en 1994 par Elefant Records. C'est ce même label qui sort en 2015 "Casete", un album de démos datant de 1991.
In the spanish indie pop history, Family is a shooting star. The band formed in the beginning of the 90's in Donostia (San Sebastián), in the Basque Country upon the ashes of La Insidia and El Joven Lagarto. It comprised Iñaki Gametxogoikoetxea and Javier Aramburu. In 1992, Family released its first record : a split flexi with Fangoria issued by Club Fan Fatal. The first and only album from Family, "Un soplo en el corazón", considered as one of the best record in the spanish pop history, was out in 1994 through Elefant Records. This label also released en 2015 "Casete", an album of demos from 1991.
