British new wave group formed in 1980 in Kent led by Nick Heyward (ex-Boogie Box High) and Les Names. The debut album "Pelcan West" was out on Arista Records in 1982. Their single "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)" became a hit, reaching No.4 in the UK single charts in 1981. Nick left the band in 1983 and released six albums as a solo artist. The second album "Paint and Paint" was released on Polydor Records in 1984, after early 1983 departure of lead singer Nick Heyward. One of the best funka-latina bands in the 80's.
