The Wannadies - Might Be Stars & You and Me Song

Pop/rock band formed in 1988 in Skellefteå, Sweden, initial line-up was Pär Wiksten (vocals, guitars), Christina Bergmark (keyboards, vocals), Stefan Schönfeldt (guitars) and Fredrik Schönfeldt (bass) with Gunnar Karlsson (drums) and Björn Malmquist (violin). They released their self-titled debut album on MNW Records in 1990, then signed to Snap (later changed name Soap) Records and released three albums "Aquanautic (1992)", "Be A Girl (1994)" and  "Bagsy Me (1997)". Indolent Records released their records for the UK. In 2009 they announced they had split with Pär Wiksten going solo. You should listen to their best compilation "Skellefteå" on Soap Records in 1998.

1988年にスウェーデンのSkellefteåで結成、初期のラインナップはPär Wiksten (vocals, guitars), Christina Bergmark (keyboards, vocals), Stefan Schönfeldt (guitars), Fredrik Schönfeldt (bass), Gunnar Karlsson (drums),  Björn Malmquist (violin)でした。1990年にセルフ・タイトルのアルバムをMNW Recordsからリリース、その後Snap Records(後にレーベル名をSoapに変えました)から三枚のアルバム "Aquanautic(1992)", "Be A Girl (1994)",  "Bagsy Me (1997)"をリリースし、 Indolent RecordsはUKで彼らのレコードを発売しました。 2009年Pär Wikstenがソロへ転向するためバンドは解散。1998年のSoap Recordsからのベスト・コンピレーション "Skellefteå"も必聴です。
