Then she recorded for the soundtrack of the film "The Goonies" and her second record "True Colors (1986)". This album included the number one single "True Colors" and "Change of Heart", and the cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On". She also covered the Roy Orbison''s "I Drove All Night" on "A Night to Remember" in 1989.
