Philippe Auclair is French singer-songwriter, musician, news correspondent and football journalist. He first recorded for Belgian label Les Disques du Crépuscle, under the names The Border Boys and The Arcadians. He moved to London in 1986, and soon became one of the major figures of cult indie label él Records. He recorded five singles and four albums "Appointment With Venus (1987)", "Psssport to The Pogie Mountain (1987)", "Ivory Tower (1988)" and " Yuri Gagarin (1989)". Japanese Trattoria label released his albums "Rainfall (1991)" and "Jean Renoir (1992)".
His album "Sunshine (1993 / Humburg)" was produced by Bertrand Burgalat, "Jackie Girl" was released on Spanish Siesta Records in 1996. XTC guitarist Dave Gregory joined his album "Azure" in 1998. He collaborated with Stuart Moxham (Young Marble Giants) and released two albums "The Huddle House (2007)" and "Devil Laughs (2020)".
