English rock trio formed in London in 1977, consists of consisted of Sting appeared on "Quadrophenia (1979)", the film of The Who's rock opera, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. They played rock influenced by punk, reggae and jazz. They released five albums "Outlandos d'Amour (1978)" including the single "Roxanne", "Regatta de Blanc (1979)" including two no. 1 singles "Walking on the Moon" & "Message in a Bottle", "Zenyatta Mondatta (1980)" including hit singles "Don't Stand So Close to Me" & "De Do Do Do De Da Da Da", "Ghost in the Machine (1981)" and "Synchronicity (1983)"including no.1 hit song "Every Breath You Take".

1977年にThe Whoのロック・ドラマQuadrophenia (1979)"映画に出演したSting,  Andy Summers, Stewart Copelandによって結成されたイギリスのロック・トリオ。パンク、レゲエ、ジャズの影響を受けたロックをプレイしていました。彼らは、シングル"Roxanne"収録の"Outlandos d'Amour (1978)", "Walking on the Moon"と"Message in a Bottle"二枚のナンバーワン・シングル含む"Regatta de Blanc (1979)", ヒット曲"Don't Stand So Close to Me"と"De Do Do Do De Da Da Da"含む"Zenyatta Mondatta (1980)",  "Ghost in the Machine (1981)"そしてナンバーワン・ヒットの"Every Breath You Take"含む "Synchronicity (1983)"といった五枚のアルバムをリリースしました。
