Madonna Louise Ciccone is an American singer-songwriter and actress, referred to as the "Queen of Pop". Born in Michigan, she moved to New York in 1978 to pursue a career in modern dance. After performing in the rock bands Breakfast Club she released the debut studio album "Madonna" in 1983. Her boyfriend John "Jellybean" Benitez remixed most of the tracks and produced "Holiday". She followed it with a series of successful albums including all-time bestsellers "Like A Virgin (1984)", "True Blue (1986)", "Like A Prayer (1989)". Madonna has many number-one singles,  including ""Like A Virgin", "La Isla Binita", "Like A Prayer", "Vogue", "Take a Bow", "Frozen", "Music", "Hung Up" and "4 Minutes". She has fourteen albums in total, her latest album is "Madame X" in 2019. In 1985 she did the first concert tour in North America "The Virgin Tour" with the Beastie Boys as her opening act. The tour saw the peak of Madonna wannabe phenomenon, with many female attendees dressing like her. Madonna entered mainstream films in 1985, as a club singer in "Vision Quest". The soundtrack contained two singles, her U.S. number-one single "Crazy For You" and "Gambler". Her popularity was further enhanced by films such as "Desperately Seeking Susan (1985)", "Shanghai Surprise (1986)" with Sean Penn, "Dick Tracey (1990)", "A League of Their Own (1992)" and "Evita (1996)". In 1986 she was featured in the film "Who''s That Girl". She contributed four songs to the soundtrack, including "Causing a Commotion".
