Duran Duran - Rio, Is There Something I Should Know, Reflex and Save A Prayer

English new wave band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The group was a leading band in the Second British Invasion of the US in the 80's and considered part of New Romantic scene along with bands such as along with bands such as Spandau Ballet and The Human League, formed by keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, drummer Roger Taylor, guitarist Andy Taylor  and lead singer Simon Le Bon. The band's first singer was Stephen Duffy (The Lilac Time). The band members in teen magazines such as Smash Hits or Tiger Beat. The band's first self-titled album was released on the EMI label in 1981. The "Girls on Film" video was heavily edited for MTV. In 1982 they released their second album "Rio" including four UK Top Twenty singles with "My Own Way", "Hungry Like the Wolf", "Save a Prayer" and "Rio". In 1983 Nick produced the UK number hit song  "Too Shy" for Kaja Goo Goo and the band released the album "Seven and The Ragged Tiger", including the number-one hit song "Reflex" remixed by Nile Rogers (Chic). In 1984 the group were featured on the Band Aid benefit single "Do They Know It's Christmas?", along with other popular British musical acts. Andy and John collaborated with Robert Palmer to form the Power Station, and Simon and Nick formed Arcadia, released the album "So Red the Rose" collaborated with Masami Tsuchiya (Ippu-do), Herbie Hankock, Sting and David Gilmour (The Pink Floyd). In 1985 they released the theme song of the James Bond's movie "A View to a Kill" and became number one hit in the US and performed at the Live Aid charity concert in Philadelphia on 13 July 1985. Andy left the band and released  the solo album in 1986 called "Thunder", Le Bon, Rhodes and Taylor trio  released the album "Notorious"  as Duran Duran in 1986.The group released fourteen albums, have never disbanded, but after the departures of Andy and Roger in 1986.
