American R&B group from California. Firstly sisters June and Bonnie Pointer began performing in clubs in 1969. They signed with Blue Thumb Records and released four albums during the 70's. The group had a commercial success as a trio during the 80's, consisting of the line-up of sisters June, Ruth and Anita. In 1983 they released the album "Break Out" on Planet, including the hit singles "Automatic", "Jump (for My Love)" and "Neutron Dance" also featured on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack.
