English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978, consists of Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Les Pattinson and Pete de Freitas.They signed to Korova and released 13 albums including "Crocodiles (1980)" & "Porcupine (1983)" both produced by Ian Broudie, "Heaven Up Here (1981)", "Ocean Rain (1984)" produced by Gil Norton, "Reverberation (1990)" after the death of drummer Pete. Their single "Bring on the Dancing Horses" is well known as one of the songs on the soundtrack to the John Hughes film "Pretty In Pink (1986)". The band covered The Doors song People Are Strange (1987)". You should listen to their compilation album "Songs to Learn to Sing (1985)". In 1994 McCulloch and Sergeant began working together again under the name Electrafixion. McCulloch released his debut solo album "Candleland" in 1989. Sergeant's solo works had instrumental experimental / ambient music.
