Bomb Pops est un groupe américain formé au début des années 90 à Minnéapolis, dans le Minnesota, par Rick Durgin (chant, guitare), Bryan Hanna (guitare, basse) et Andrea Troolin (batterie). Un premier single intitulé "Paler" sort sur le label américain Audrey's Diary en 1993. Sur les notes de pochette on peut alors lire cette éloge à leur propos : "Si les Field Mice avaient embauché Maurice Deebank de Felt pour leurs premiers singles, on aurait pu se retrouver avec un procès sur le dos"... Deux autres 45 tours sont ensuite publiés l'année suivante par le label allemand A Turntable Friend Records et le label américain The Bus Stop Label. Puis le groupe se sépare. Une compilation posthume, "Recommended for diversion seekers" a été éditée en 1999 par le label américain Grimsey Records.

On the flyer included in the 7", we can read about them : "If the Field Mice hired Felt's Maurice Deebank on their early singles, we might have a lawsuit on our hands"... In 1994, two 7"s from the Bomb Pops were released via the german label A Turntable Friend Records and the american one The Bus Stop Label. A compilation of their singles and recordings, titled "Recommended for diversion seekers", was published by the american label Grimsey Records in 1999.
