Bedroom pop band, formed around 1993, in Sacramento, California as a group with singer/songwriter guitarist Dustin Reske, keyboardist Heidi Barney, bassist Verna Brock and drummer Jim Rivas (from Holiday Flyer). They signed to The Bus Stop Label and released two 7's singles "Hey, Hey Girl (1994)" and "Honey I Need You (1995)". The debut album "A Certain Smile, A Certain Sadness" was released on Slumberland Records in 1996. They sound like droning organs and shoegazing influences although, as a solo project, Reske has taken the sound in an ambient direction later. In 2014, they performed for the first time in several years, during both San Francisco Popfest and New York City Popfest. You should listen to the compilation "Why Popstar's Can't Dance - A Slumberland Compilation (1994)" including the Rocketship song "You and Your New Boyfriend".
