The Siddeleys - What Went Wrong This Time ? & Sunshine Thuggery

London-based indie pop band formed in 1986, comprising female singer-guitarist Johnny Johnson, Andrew Brown (bass), Allan Kingdom (guitar), and Phil Goodman (drums). They signed to Medium Cool Records and released the single "What Went Wrong This Time ?" in 1987. Goodman left the band in 1987, to be replaced by former Jamie Wednesday and Bob's drummer Dean Leggett.  They moved to Sombrero Records for the follow-up, the John Parish-produced single "Sunshine Thuggery" in 1988. The collection of all of their recordings, "Slum Clearance" was released on Matinée Recordings in 2001. "What Went Wrong This Time ?" was included on the "CD 86" album, a collection of indie pop compiled by Bob Stanley (Saint Etienne). The compilation album "Songs from the Sidings (2017)" on Firestation Records is featured demo recordings from 1985 to 1987.
