Scottish post-punk band, led by Edwyn Collins, formed in Glasgow. The band started as The Nu-Sonics in 1976 and then changed their name to Orange Juice in 1979. They signed to Postcard Records and released five singles... "Poor Old Soul", "Simply Thrilled Honey", "Falling and Laughing", "Blue Boy" and "Felicity". After the takeover of Polydor Records they released four albums... "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" (1982), "Rip It Up"(1982), "The Orange Juice" (1984) and "Texas Fever" (1984). Malcolm Ross (guitar) also played for Josef K and Aztec Camera. James Kirk (guitar) formed Memphis and released only one single "You Supply the Roses" in 1985 and the album "You Can't Make It If You Boogie" on German label Marina Records in 2003. Edwyn started a solo career and his song "A Girl Like You" became a hit in 1995.
