The Cannanes - Perfect light & Cardboard & Sound of the city

C'est à Sydney, en Australie, en 1984, que s'est formé le groupe The Cannanes autour de Stephen O'Neil (chant, guitare) et Frances Gibson (basse), seuls membres permanents du groupe. Ils étaient alors accompagnés de Michelle Cannane (guitare, percussions), Annabel Bleach (chant) et David Nichols (batterie). Depuis, plus d'une vingtaine de personnes ont intégré puis quitté le groupe au fil des albums (onze au total) et des très nombreux singles qu'ont sorti les Cannanes sur différents labels parmi lesquels Feel Good All Over, Ajax Records, Blackbean and Placenta Tape Club, Yoyo Recordings, Chapter Music, K Records, Bi-Joopiter, Little Teddy Recordings, Distant Violins, Harriet Records, 555 Recordings, Emotional Response...

The Cannanes are an australian indie pop band formed in 1984 in Sydney by Stephen O'Neil (vocals, guitar) and Frances Gibson (bass), the only constant members. The original line-up also included Michelle Cannane (guitar, percussion), Annabel Bleach (vocals) and David Nichols (drums).
