Ride - Taste, Like A Daydream & Twisterella

English rock band formed in Oxford in 1988. The band consists of Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence Colbert and Steve Queralt. They signed to Creation Records and released four albums. Their debut album "Nowhere" (1990) has been named one of the important albums of the shoegazing genre and the band were initially part of the "shoegazing" scene that emerged in England during the early 90's. Following the break up of the band in 1996, members moved on to various other projects. In the mid-90's, Bell formed Hurricane no.1 and later became the bassist for Oasis. Laurence and Mark formed The Animalhouse. The band re-formed in 2014 and released the album "Weather Diaries" in 2017, the first Ride album since 1996's "Tarantula".

1988年にOxfordにて、Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence Colbert, Steve Queraltによって結成されたイギリスのバンド。Creation Recordsと契約し、4枚のアルバムをリリースしました。デビュー作"Nowhere (1990)" は、シューゲイズ・ジャンルの重要なアルバムの一つで、イギリスで最初に、90年代初頭の"シューゲイズ" シーンの一部となり出現しました。1996年にバンドは解散し、メンバーは様々なプロジェクトへ移行…90年代半ば、BellはHurricane no.1を結成し、後にOasisのベーシストとなり、LaurenceとMarkはThe Animalhouseを結成。バンドは2014年に再結成し、アルバム"Weather Diaries" を2017年にリリース、1996年の"Tarantula"以来のアルバムとなりました。
