Fantastic Something - If she doesn't smile (it'll rain) & Home in another heart & Melancholy bay

Fantastic Something était un groupe pop originaire de Grèce formé au début des années 80 par deux frères : Constantin et Alex Veis. Le duo obtient tout d'abord les faveurs de Cherry Red Records qui sort son tout premier single, "If she doesn't smile (it'll rain)", en 1983. Fantastic Something signe ensuite chez Blanco Y Negro qui publie leur premier et unique album et un second single, "The night we flew out the window", en 1985. Silence radio ensuite jusqu'en 2001, année durant laquelle le label espagnol Siesta Records sort "Songs in a small room", un EP incluant cinq titres qui auraient dû figurer sur le second album du duo au début des années 90. Ce sera le dernier témoin de leur pop mélodique, de leurs guitares cristallines, de leurs harmonies subtiles. On retrouve également Alex et Constantin Veis au début des années 2000 au sein de The Waving Tree (Siesta Records et Cloudberry Records).

Fantastic Something was a band from Greece formed in the beginning of the 80's by two brothers : Constantin and Alex Veis. Firstly the duo signed to Cherry Red Records who released their debut single, "If she doesn't smile (it'll rain)", in 1983. Then, Fantastic Something signed to Blanco Y Negro who published their first and only album and a second single, "The night we flew out the window", in 1985. A second album was due to be out in the beginning of the 90's but was never released. The spanish label Siesta Records published in 2001 five of these songs on the EP "Songs in a small room". It's the last release of Fantastic Something, the greek band who played melodic pop with crystal clear guitars and harmonies at their best. In the beginning of the 2000's, Alex and Constantin Veis formed a new band : The Waving Tree (Siesta Records and Cloudberry Records).
