Anorak Crumble : Please tell us about the story of birth of Smallroom Records. Why did you decided to start label ?
Smallroom Recordsの誕生ストーリーを教えて下さい。何故レーベルをスタートすると決めたのですか？
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : Smallroom Label started in 1999 by releasing the compilation Smallroom 001 "What happen in this Smallroom ?". At first, we did the commercial musics and when we had free time we made songs. Just for fun.

Rungroche Uptampotiwat : Armchair is the first band of our label. They were very popular at that time. But now they are not together anymore.
Armchairは私達のレーベルの最初のバンドです。当時彼らはとても有名でした。だけどもう今は一緒にやってないの。
Penguin Villa is one man band. He's also a partner of the label. He just released his new album "J" last year.

Tattoo Colour is the most poppular band in our label since year 2006 until now.

Yarinda is the first female band in our label. She had two albums with us. Now she is not in music scene anymore.

Smallroom Recordsはグレイトなコンピレーションをリリースしていましたね！最新コンピ"The Song We Sing 1999 - 2007"について教えて下さい。
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : Our new compilation "The Songs We Sing 1999-2020" was just released last month since we have to work from home and nothing we can do. We cannot have a gig or any events. And don't even go to work. So, we decided to tell our story from the beginning till now via FB. But you also listen to these compilations via Apple-Itunes as well. Also, we have YouTube playlist for these compilations. You can check it out.
私達の新しいコンピレーション"The Songs We Sing1999-2020"は、先月リリースされたばかりです。家で仕事しなきゃなりませんでした。ギグやイベントも出来ません、仕事でさえも。なので、Faceboo経由で初めから伝えることにしています。だけどApple-Itunesからも聴けますよ。コンピレーションのYoutubeのプレイリストもあるので。チェックしてみてね。
Anorak Crumble : How is your life in Bangkok, Thailand ? Are there any good record labels, clubs, etc ?
タイはバンコクでの生活はどんな感じですか？良いレーベルやクラブはありますか？
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : Life in Bangkok before the virus was pretty good. The indie music scene is now becoming a mainstream instead of the major label. And now anyone can make music and upload their songs via YouTube. Indie songs are more popular than before.
バンコクでの生活はコロナウイルスの前はとても良かった。インディ・ミュージック・シーンは今はメジャー・レーベルの代わりにメインストリームとなっています。誰もが音楽を作ることが出来るしYoutubeにアップロードすることが出来ます。インディ・ソングスは前よりもポピュラーになっています。
Anorak Crumble : Is the big music festival "Soi Music Festival" still held in Thailand and Japan ? Please tell us about this festival !
タイと日本で"Soi Music Festival"はまだ行われていますか？このフェスティバルについて教えて下さい。
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : I don't think we have Soi Music Festival for years. Both in Thailand and Japan. This festival was held by my Japanese friends Jiro and Kazu who I've never kept in touch for so long. It was a great festival, it was really held for indie fans.
日本とタイでのSoiミュージック・フェスティバルはもうやっていないと思います。このフェスティバルは私の日本人の友達JiroとKazuがやっていました。もう何年も連絡していないわ。とてもグレイトなフェスティバルでした。インディ・ファンにとっては。
Anorak Crumble : When did you start to listen to indie pop music ? What are your favourite bands of all time ?
いつ頃からインディ・ポップを聴き始めましたか？あなたのお気に入りのバンドは？
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : I love Indie music since I was in the university. I have so many favorite bands that I like. I love to listen to indie music from many many countries. The most favorite indie bands of all time for me are Jason Falkner and Sondre Lerche.
私は大学の時以来インディ・ミュージック・シーンが大好きです。色んな国のインデイ・ミュージックを聴くのが好きです。私のオールタイム・フェイバリットはJason Falknerと Sondre Lercheです。
Anorak Crumble : Can you tell us about future releases ?
今後のリリースの予定を教えて下さい。
Rungroche Uptampotiwat : This year (before the virus) we planned to release two albums. One is Tattoo Colour, their fifth album and the other one is Polycat, their fourth album. Do you know that Polycat used to released Japanese album two or three years ago ? The name of the album is "Doyobi No Terebi". Please check it out. Moreover, we plan to release a single from our artists such as Gene Kasidit, Petite, Slur, Dept, Postbox and Daynim as well.
今年は(ウイルスの前は)、2枚のアルバムをリリースする予定があったの。1つはTattoo Colourの5枚目のアルバム、あと1つはPolycatの4枚目のアルバムよ。Polycatは2～3年前に、日本でアルバム出してたの知ってますか？アルバム名は"Doyobi No Terebi"よ。チェックしてみてね。他には、Gene Kasidit, Petite, Slur, Dept, Postbox, Daynimのシングルをリリースする予定です。

Rungroche Uptampotiwat : For the fans, I'd like to thank for their good support since we started the label. And hope they still healthy in this tough situation. We will pass this crisis together. And I really hope that we can have the concerts soonest. So, we can get back to a normal work and meet our fans again.
レーベルをスタートして以来、良いサポートありがとうこのタフなシチュエーションの中で、ヘルシーで居られることを望んでいます。一緒にこの危機をパスするでしょう。コンサートもやりたいです。通常の仕事に戻って、またファンに会いたいです。
